Husband and I traveled recently to Egypt and are forever grateful with Bethanie and Beshoy. They truly made our experience in Egypt magical and everything If not more amazing than I imagined.
I felt completely safe the entire time, having the commodity of a vehicle waiting for us to avoid time lost parking/.walking was a major plus. We learned so much about the history and culture and were taken to great local spots that went above and beyond our agenda. We had amazing photos taken of us with their professional camera!
Bethanie helped make the perfect itinerary and managed to get every activity I wanted. AMZING we did so much from ATVing by the pyramids, camel riding, delicious dinner in a felucca on the Nile, going underground to the catacombs in Alexandria, taking a night train to Luxor, riding a hot air balloon over the temples, relaxing at the beach in Hurghada.
Definitely planning my next trip back soon so much more to see!

My husband and I, including three of our children ages 20, 16, and 12 had an AMAZING time learning so much about the historical landmarks, of course the pyramids, the biblical significances, and a hike up Mount Sinai to walk in the footsteps of Moses.

This was actually our first time ever hiring

We spent 17 days in Egypt. It felt really nice for
once not having to think about what the next day
brings. We are so glad we hired Bethanie and Beshoy
to share the beauty and knowledge of Egypt with us.
We did not feel like they were our 'guides' because
honestly it felt like we were just visiting friends since it was just myself, my husband and them two.
Beshoy is so knowledgeable in Egyptian history and makes it easy to understand. Beshoy enjoys carrying around his professional camera and taking amazing photos to capture all the memories! Mohammed was our driver for the duration of our stay. We always felt very safe with his driving in the crazy traffic. He speaks little English but would find ways to still engage with us and share some good laughs! We loved him!
If you are on the fence about whether you should hire a guide in Egypt or not, I highly recommend that you do for a magnitude of reasons. It will be worth every penny. Bethanie and Beshoy are not your typical tour company. They make sure it is about what YOU want to do. They are super flexible to ensure you are getting the most out of your time and experience. I tried to go to Cairo alone in 2021. That did not go so Well..So i decided that the next time, i would find someone who could help me see all the things i wanted to see! And i found Bethanie and Beshoy. It’s like wining the lottery!!!! All i had to do was show up and They fixed EVERYTHING. So much knowledge about the history, so many exiting events and sites! I went on a small group tour with Escape to Egypt Tours and Retreats (Bethanie and Behsoy) in March 2024. As a solo traveler I think the best decision I made, aside from deciding to go to Egypt, was booking with Bethanie and Beshoy.
Because I didn't have to worry about any logistics, I was able to sit back and take in all of what Egypt had to offer without any stress. I must say that Bethanie and Beshoy did a great job of crafting the entire 2 week itinerary - it was jammed packed with both the well known sites and some sites I wouldn't have even thought about if I'd planned the trip myself. There was also some flexibility built in that allowed for much needed rest / downtime. The accommodations throughout the tour were amazing, the food stops were great,
and I think I had the best tour guide ever (who also doubles as a fantastic photographer). I felt like I was touring Egypt with friends instead of a tour company, which to me is one of the best parts!! I would highly recommend Escape to Egypt Tours and Retreats to anyone.

We only had 11 full days in Egypt yet we were dead set on doing ALL OF THE THINGS. haha! This was a once in a
lifetime trip after all and we didn’t want to miss out on a single thing. We were committed to doing Upper and Lower Egypt, a Nile cruise, AND Dahab on the Red Sea (which is a stretch for 11 days) but through lots of strategic planning and a few Egyptian miracles Bethanie and Beshoy were able to make it all happen!!
One of our favorite parts of our trip was sailing the Nile on a traditional Egyptian Dahabiya sailing boat! We knew we wanted to experience the Nile on one of these intimate and relaxing boats, the same way Egyptians have been sailing the Nile for thousands of years. However, the dahabiya companies can be very difficult to get a hold outside of Egypt and only sail on certain days so we were having a tough time getting this booked on our own. Bethanie and Beshoy were essential in helping us book the perfect dahabiya that aligned with the rest of our itinerary! We spent 3 days eating the most amazing Egyptian food, relaxing in hammocks on the sun deck, and exploring the temples and cities right on the banks of the Nile! It was magical!
Bethanie and Beshoy are both so knowledgeable, they made us feel so comfortable and safe the entire trip, and we truly felt cared for! Hiccups are inevitable when traveling and whenever something came up they were always so quick to make sure we had everything we needed and to come up with a solution.
If you’re considering booking with Bethanie and Beshoy, do it! Not only will you get two excellent guides, but also lifelong friends!

I’m not one to typically use a tour guide, I very much like traveling independently and not having a schedule to stick to. I am so glad that I decided to book with her though. The booking process was super easy, I’m usually a big planner when I travel so it was nice taking a break and having all the details taken care of.
There were many options provided to us throughout the days and it felt like a choose your own adventure. The addition of Beshoy being a local and with them building relationships with local businesses was the Cherry on top.
I really enjoyed everything we did and getting to know the backstories. At no point did it even feel like I was using a guide. It felt like I was just visiting friends who live in Cairo. I cannot recommend them enough. I’m already planning to go back and explore the rest of Egypt with them! Do not hesitate in booking a tour with Bethanie & Beshoy, you won’t regret it!

I am pretty well traveled and didn't think I needed a guide
but it is so worth it in Egypt. Egypt is a very chaotic place
and it's very nice when everything goes smoothly.
I would recommend the hot air balloon ride and making
time to go to Abu Simbel. It's pretty far but worth it
100 times over. Bethanie will also help you curate the most perfect itinerary that makes the most sense for what you
want to see and do!

If you are planning to visit Egypt Please allow Bethanie and Beshoy to be the travel agent you choose to help you along the way. I have done alot of backpacking and solo trips thinking I didn't need help. BOY was I wrong!
Through booking with Bethanie and Beshoy you will be well taken care of and looked after. They helped book my domestic flights in Egypt, my cruise on the Nile, A hot air balloon trip, countless drivers to take us around.
They knew it was my birthday on one of our days there and they even got me a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday it was pure magic. They were all very nice, and professional but by the end I was sad to be saying goodbye to new friends.

It was my cousin and I’s first time visiting Egypt. Both of us being natural born travelers with generally limited experience or desire to hire a tour guide, we were somehow swayed by a compelling social media post on Bethanie’s Instagram to contact her for more information. Post logistical inquiry results yielded a booked three-day tour with Bethanie and Beshoy.
Our booking included airport pick-up and drop-off, an exceptional driver, with exceptional meals, visiting attractions with guided tours, and a photo shoot in front of the pyramids before and during a memorable camel ride (Travelling to Puerto Rico a few months prior and spending $200 on a 1-hour photo shoot made that feature alone totally worth the overall price of the tour!).
As someone who is pretty particular with who and how I chose to spend my time, with tendencies toward not wanting to spend too much time with most people, Bethanie and Beshoy were a breath of fresh air. Not only did I feel 100% comfortable around them but also really enjoyed their company the entire time. They are a very cool couple - the real deal type!
Fulfilling a childhood dream of visiting Egypt accompanied inadvertently high expectations. I am still in awe at how Bethanie and Beshoy managed to go above and beyond meeting them.
